Maven Assist installation instructions

Maven Assist only works with Windows and Macs. If you want it to work with Linux or Something else, you want to enhance the FileUtils.java class.

To set up properly, You need the following environment variables set:

< localRepository> c:/my_maven_repo_location/repository< /localRepository>
< profile>
    < id> MyProfile < /id>
    < repositories >
        < repository >
            < id > flexmojos < /id >
            < name > Flex Repository < /name >
            < url > http://repository.sonatype.org/content/groups/flexgroup/ < /url >
        < /repository >
        < repository >
            < id > corprepo < /id >
            < name > Corp Repository < /name >
            < url > [your corp repository; somthing like - http://my_corp_repository/nexus/content/groups/public/] < /url >
        < /repository >
        < repository >
            < id > corpDeplyRepo < /id >
            < name > Corp Repo Release < /name >
            < url > [your release repository; something like - http://my_corp_deploy_repository/nexus/content/repositories/releases] < /url >
        < /repository >
    < /repositories >
< /profile >

Depending on the deployment server configuration, deployment server info may be required.

< server >
	< id > [deployment server] < /id >
	< username > [deployment server user name] < /username >
	< password > [deployment server password] < /password >
< /server >
< server >
	< id > [snapshot deployment server] < /id >
	< username > [snapshot deployment server user name] < /username >
	< password > [snapshot deployment server password] < /password >
< /server >

You will also need to set the following values in the settings.xml file to use Tomcat plugins:

 < server >
   < id > localTomcat < /id >
   < username > [admin name] < /username >
   < password > [admin password] < /password >
 < /server >

The plugin has several tabs, each one of which handles a different aspect of maven development
